IDAHO FALLS — A local judge agreed to reduce the bond of a woman who left east Idaho with a murder suspect last month. Deena Aday is charged with accessory to a felony by willfully withholding knowledge of a felony.
The 49-year-old appeared before Judge Stephen Clark Friday and he agreed to lower her bond from $200,000 to $100,000.
During a bond reduction hearing, Aday’s attorney, Kristopher Meek, argued his defendant was not a flight risk and requested a bond of $10,000.
However, Bonneville County Prosecutor Danny Clark opposed the reduction and noted Aday was in custody after fleeing the state for 16 days with murder suspect Jeremy White.
White is charged with second-degree murder after allegedly strangling Christin Caldwell and burying her in the basement of their Bonneville County home. Investigators say he then left Idaho Falls with Aday on Nov. 9.
The pair were arrested Nov. 25 in Pahrump, Nevada, after they were seen leaving a home owned by White’s father.
Aday was still incarcerated in Bonneville County as of Friday afternoon.
