POCATELLO — A husband and wife were arrested Friday, Jan 15. after police discovered the man had five outstanding warrants.
Jose Angel Pena, 29, and his wife, Ember Marie Pena, 29, are both facing felony charges.
According to Pocatello police, an officer spotted a suspicious vehicle parked on King and Main around 2:00 a.m.
The officer made contact with the individuals inside and learned the passenger, Jose, was wanted on five warrants – including failure to appear on disorderly conduct charges, violating no contact orders and domestic battery.
Jose and Ember are also facing drug charges after police say they found meth and heroin in the vehicle.
Pocatello Police spokeswoman Dianne Brush says the arrests occurred because of an alert officer who was paying attention.
Both Jose and Ember have been booked in the Bannock County Jail where no bond has been set.
