The following is a release from the Twin Falls Police Department.
On Oct. 8, the Twin Falls Police Department responded to St. Luke’s Magic Valley in regards to a 20-month-old child in distress. The child was life-flighted to Boise.
The Twin Falls Police Department, with assistance from the Boise Police Department, immediately started an investigation.
On Oct. 14, the child subsequently succumbed to the injuries.
On Oct. 20, 22-year-old Amanda Dunlap of Twin Falls was arrested on a warrant for first-degree murder and nine charges of injury to child – eight of which were felonies. Dunlap was booked into the Ada County Jail early Saturday morning.
Twin Falls police could not confirm whether the child was Dunlap’s.
No further information will be released by our department at this time as this remains an active investigation.
