IDAHO FALLS – A woman charged with being an accessory to a felony has reached an agreement and will now be charged with a misdemeanor.
Deena Aday entered into a plea deal with the Bonneville County Prosecutor’s Office Thursday morning that will drop the felony charge of accessory for withholding information in exchange for a guilty plea of misdemeanor obstruction.
Aday left Idaho Falls with Jeremy White after White killed and buried his girlfriend, Christin Caldwell, in their Bonneville County home in November. White was convicted of second-degree murder on Sept. 20.
Bonneville County Prosecutor Daniel Clark said they agreed to the deal because, despite initially withholding information, Aday has cooperated with law enforcement. She gave testimony that corroborated with the prosecution against White, helping lead to his conviction.
Aday is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 14 and will sentenced later this year.
